Breathe-out

Soul lacking soul; half-full
ashtray in the night
still-life and consequence's smile

I am dedicating swans to you, N. :)

So comforting when music holds your hand, takes you for a walk, in a park, autumn leaves all around, the trees looking down. Sometimes a tear forms but then it disappears cos you are never alone. Music, a friend who will hold your hand no matter what. No judgements, no questions, unconditional and forever faithful in times of need. Forever, here and hereafter.

Dustin's piano put these words in my head. Thankyou Dustin. :)
I am also so happy to see Rachels as one of his influences. I will never feel alone again. :)

Arm yourself because no-one else here will save you
The odds will betray you
And I will replace you

Chris Cornell is driving me insane. :)

Amazing how little and how much someone can do. A hand in the gutter, an eye in the drain, a brain in the ditch. The new smells are fresh but I miss the old ones. One day value and worth will be realised.
Radio and TV Broadcaster, Chris Morris is a magus of bad taste, a true millennial terrorist who takes pot shots at the powers that be, often with hilarious consequences. Clever, funny and original, Morris has consistently flouted convention with surreal, satirical programmes like BBC 2 's The Day Today. After the cancellation of his Channel 4 show, Brass Eye in 1997, Radio 1 commissioned Blue Jam: an inspired mixture of ambient music and edgy sketches, which had the tendency to unfold slowly into nightmares. Here is a sample. I love it because it has one of my favourite Aphex Twin tracks "Curtains" playing in the background.

Hands

funny how hands talk
behind computer and screen
all pixels, no sound

Like my haiku, C?

You be xx, I be xy

Milton Glaser said that the reason there are so few female rock star graphic designers is that “women get pregnant, have children, go home and take care of their children. And those essential years that men are building their careers and becoming visible are basically denied to women who choose to be at home.” He continued: "Unless something very dramatic happens to the nature of the human experience then it’s never going to change." About day care and nannies, he said, "None of them are good solutions." Read on.

My current favourite rockstar female designer is Louise Fili. What a lovely craft. Breathtaking, really.
Can't believe I am listening to "Hole in the head" by Sugababes and "Me, myself and I" by Beyonce on constant repeat. Whoa! Jp, you hate me, no? Its lots of fun man. Try it. :)

I miss you.

Tea?

I like pouring your tea, lifting
the heavy pot, and tipping it up,
so the fragrant liquid streams in your china cup.

Or when you’re away, or at work,
I like to think of your cupped hands as you sip,
as you sip, of the faint half-smile of your lips.

I like the questions – sugar? – milk? –
and the answers I don’t know by heart, yet,
for I see your soul in your eyes, and I forget.

Jasmine, Gunpowder, Assam, Earl Grey, Ceylon,
I love tea’s names. Which tea would you like? I say
but it’s any tea for you, please, any time of day,

as the women harvest the slopes
for the sweetest leaves, on Mount Wu-Yi,
and I am your lover, smitten, straining your tea.

How beautiful it is when a poem and a song work so beautifully together. The poem is by Carol Ann Duffy and the music is by the Rachels. The song is called "Tea Merchants". Its amazing how important silence is in this piece of music. Wow. Go listen, but make sure you are reading the poem while listening to it. :) Smile, this is all too beautiful. No?
Carol is the most beautiful thing ever. Her hands weave pretty patterns inside my head, her voice pretty sounds inside my ear.

She took the words right out of my mouth. I miss you, C. We are in the same boat. :(

The Villain

Find me a role in a film
let me be the villain
I can do it naturally
I can do a wicked laugh
I can do bad bad things
and I can do them all from my heart

I can take out my knife
and draw blood
I can do it willingly
I can give an evil look
I wont smile
promise

I can break into houses
I can break peoples hearts
I have no use of mine
I can do all this naturally

and in the end
I will end up in a pool of blood
my blood, all real, fresh and straight from my heart.
The greatest journeys are the ones that bring you home.

Mira Nair's new film "The Namesake" is looking good.
Wake up in the morning, go brush your teeth and after you are done look at yourself in the mirror and say "I love you man, you are f*kin great" (say it about 3-4 times, each time a bit louder than the last). You wont believe how positively this will effect the rest of your day. :)

Chapter Three

This chapter
closed, this book closed
I am opening another book
the pages are new, the ink is fresh
my hands are stronger, my heart warmer
the lines I write will stay forever
in a book with no lines

----

My heart, sonically :) Lovely no?
